ACO active catalytic oxidizer for pools, 20 kg canister (price per 1 kg)
ACO® active catalytic oxidizer uses the natural energy of ultraviolet light to catalyze the formation of free radicals, which increase the RedOx potential in pool water.
Free radicals are the active components of ozone. They oxidize and remove contaminants without forming harmful disinfection by-products.
In chlorinated systems, ACO® protects chlorine from photolysis by sunlight and allows it to last three times longer in outdoor pools. The product acts similarly to cyanuric acid, but instead of reducing oxidative capacity, it increases the oxidative potential of the water.
🔹Key advantages
- Increases the RedOx potential in water
- Catalyzes natural UV oxidation of organic contaminants
- Protects chlorine from degradation by sunlight
- Increases the half-life of chlorine and peroxide by more than 300%
- Reduces chemical consumption
- Reduces the formation of trichloramine, chloroform, and cyanogen chloride
- Reduces the load on filtration equipment
- Does not irritate the eyes of pinnipeds, the lungs of cetaceans, or the skin of walruses
- Enables safe water treatment with ACO Bio in external biological systems

Frequently Asked Questions
What is ACO® used for?
ACO® is used as an active catalytic oxidizer to increase RedOx potential, oxidize organic contaminants, and maintain pool water clarity.
Can ACO® be used with chlorine?
Yes. In chlorinated systems, the product protects chlorine from photolysis by sunlight and allows it to last three times longer in outdoor pools.
How to dose ACO® in animal systems?
The product is recommended to be dosed continuously using a peristaltic pump after the AFM® filter. Dosing, depending on the load, is usually 0.5–1.0 ml per m³ of filtered turnover.
How to dose ACO® manually?
ACO® can be added manually directly to the pool water at a rate of 1 liter per 100 m³ of pool volume once a week.
When does the full effect of the product appear?
It takes six to eight weeks for the full effect of ACO® to appear.
Is it necessary to increase the dosage at the beginning of use?
Yes. It is recommended to double the dosage during the first month.
How to store ACO® correctly?
The container must be stored only in its standard packaging in a cool, well-ventilated place. Do not store with household items, food products, or other chemical reagents.
