Frequently Asked Questions

Why do we need two different calibration solutions — pH 4.0 and pH 7.0?

For accurate calibration of a pH electrode, a two-point method is used — solutions with two different pH values define the upper and lower reference points of the measurement scale. A pH 4.0 solution sets the acidic calibration point, and pH 7.0 sets the neutral point. Using both solutions ensures significantly higher accuracy of the sensor within the pool's working pH range of 7.0–7.6.

How often should a pH electrode be calibrated?

It is recommended to calibrate the electrode every 2–4 weeks, depending on the intensity of pool usage and the concentration of chemical reagents in the water. Calibration is also necessary after replacing the electrode or after a long break in the system's operation.

How to properly store an opened bottle?

After use, close the cap tightly and store in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding +25°C, away from direct sunlight. Do not return used solution to the bottle – this may contaminate the remaining solution and reduce the accuracy of subsequent calibrations.
