Frequently Asked Questions

How does a horizontal anchor differ from an inclined AC 11.070?

Horizontal anchor AC 11.080 is embedded parallel to the bottom or side of the pool for installation on vertical surfaces. Angled anchor AC 11.070 is embedded at an angle. The choice between them depends on the structural features of the specific overflow pool's side and the location of the rope holder.

Which material option to choose — AISI 304 or AISI 316L?

AISI 304 is suitable for most standard chlorinated pools and is a more affordable option. AISI 316L with molybdenum is recommended for saltwater pools and high-traffic commercial facilities where maximum corrosion resistance is required.

When is the anchor installed — during construction or later?

The anchor is embedded directly into the concrete structure of the pool shell during construction. Installation into a finished pool is not possible without removing the existing finishes. It is important to pre-plan the number and exact locations of anchors during the design phase, according to the number of lanes.
