APF WT is a multi-component coagulant and flocculant for swimming pool water treatment. The product removes dissolved contaminants and aggregates fine suspended particles, including skin cells and bacteria, into larger particles that are effectively retained by AFM® filter material.

APF® contains a precise combination of 6 different electrolytes and polyelectrolytes, allowing it to cover a wide range of contaminants. Dissolved water components account for about 80% of the oxidation demand, while suspended solids account for about 20%.

Proper flocculation in combination with AFM® reduces oxidation demand, increases RedOx potential, and helps reduce the formation of undesirable disinfection by-products in chlorinated systems by up to 80%.

What is APF WT used for?

How does APF® work?

The product aggregates fine particles, including skin cells and bacteria, into larger formations that are more easily retained by AFM® filter material.

Does APF WT help reduce the disinfection load?

Yes. Proper flocculation removes a significant portion of contaminants through the filtration system, so the water requires less oxidation.

How to dose APF®?

The product should be dosed into the water at a constant, very slow flow rate. The recommended dosage is 0.5–1 ml of APF® per 1 m³ of water circulating through the filters.

What equipment is needed for dosing?

Only peristaltic pumps should be used for dosing. For best results, APF® is recommended to be injected through a static mixer between the pumps and AFM® filters.

How to control the correct dosage?

After commissioning the system, the dosage can be controlled by weekly analysis of aluminum content using reagents for Al determination in a standard spectrophotometer.

The maximum permissible Al concentration according to drinking water standards is 0.2 mg/L.

What should the water parameters be?

The pH value should remain in the neutral range. Alkalinity should be >60 ppm, and total hardness >100 ppm.

How to store APF WT correctly?

The container should only be stored in its standard packaging in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature between 5°C and 35°C.

What safety measures should be observed?

Work with the product only in protective gloves, a mask, and goggles. Do not mix with other chemicals and do not store with food, household items, or other chemical reagents.

If the product gets on the skin or in the eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.

How to dispose of product residues?

Product residues and waste should not be thrown into a regular trash can or bin. It is recommended to hand them over to a problem waste collection point.
