The Behncke heat exchanger is a high-temperature heat exchanger with a stainless steel outer shell and a welded stainless steel coil. Due to the use of a smooth pipe, the formation of limescale on the primary side is impossible with regular maintenance.

When using the counterflow principle during heat exchange, hot and cold water pass side by side without touching. This is ensured by specially manufactured smooth-tube coils, which can cope with constant and therefore virtually lossless operating pressure. The result is maximum energy efficiency of the heat exchanger.
