The Behncke heat exchanger is a high-temperature heat exchanger with a stainless steel outer shell and an integrated stainless steel coil. Thanks to the use of a smooth tube, the formation of limescale on the primary side is impossible, provided regular maintenance is performed.

When using the counterflow principle during heat exchange, hot and cold water pass side by side without direct contact. This is achieved through specially manufactured smooth-tube coils that can handle constant and therefore virtually lossless operating pressure. The result is maximum energy efficiency of the heat exchanger.

What material is the device made of?
The casing and internal coil are made of high-quality stainless steel. The outer part is additionally protected by a special electrolytic coating and heat-resistant paint.

Is the heat exchanger suitable for saltwater pools?
The standard stainless steel version is primarily designed for fresh water. For saltwater pools or electrolysis systems, a titanium version will be needed to prevent corrosion.

How is temperature controlled?
For automatic heating control, an electronic thermostat with an external temperature sensor needs to be connected. The sensor is installed at the heat exchanger inlet to switch off the circulation pump once the set pool temperature is reached.
