The Behncke heat exchanger is a high-temperature heat exchanger with a stainless steel outer shell and a welded stainless steel coil. Due to the use of a smooth tube, the formation of limescale on the primary side is impossible, provided regular maintenance is carried out.
Using the counter-flow principle during heat exchange, hot and cold water flow past each other without contact. This is ensured by specially manufactured smooth-tube coils that can handle constant, and therefore practically lossless, operating pressure. The result is maximum energy efficiency of the heat exchanger.

The body and internal coil are made of high-quality stainless steel. The outer part is additionally protected with a special electrolytic coating and heat-resistant paint.
Is the heat exchanger suitable for saltwater pools?
The standard stainless steel version is primarily designed for fresh water. For saltwater pools or electrolysis systems, a titanium version would be needed to prevent corrosion.
How is temperature controlled?
For automatic heating control, an electronic thermostat with an external temperature sensor needs to be connected. The sensor is installed at the inlet to the heat exchanger to switch off the circulation pump when the set pool temperature is reached.
