Kolmat Fibre Seal is an impregnated reinforced sealing tape for sealing metal and plastic threaded connections in water, gas, compressed air, and technical fluid systems.

Advantages

• suitable for conical and cylindrical threaded connections;
• compatible with copper, brass, galvanized and stainless steel, chrome, zinc, PVC, CPVC, and ABS;
• used for water, gas, LPG, compressed air, diluted acids and alkalis;
• allows adjustment of the connection up to 180° after assembly;
• not suitable for oxygen.

Application

• clean and degrease surfaces before winding;
• smooth surfaces, such as brass, stainless steel, and chrome, need to be roughened;
• wind the tape in the direction of the thread with overlap;
• gas: up to 5 bar at -20°C…+70°C; water: up to 16 bar at +95°C or up to 7 bar at +130°C.
